Invite the Brooklyn Public Library to Your Parent/Educator Meetings

The Brooklyn Public Library has received a grant to expand their school readiness program called Ready, Set, Kindergarten!  To this end they have been busy creating fun math and science kits which will be soon be available in their branches and creating Ready, Set, Kindergarten! web content which will soon be launched in 8 languages with short parent videos, tip sheets, and activities.

At this point, they are looking for your help!  They are looking to speak to Brooklyn parents, educators, and caregivers this spring to promote the web content, the programs, and math and science kits.  If you have any opportunities for them to speak at any workshops or events you have scheduled, contact Rachel Payne, Coordinator, Early Childhood Services, atr.payne@brooklynpubliclibrary.org.  A representative can speak for 5-10 minutes on any agenda you already have planned or offer you a complete early literacy workshop for parents and/or educators.  They can also register attendees for library cards. Contact Rachel and she will do her best to attend one of your upcoming programs.  They can also bring books to raffle off as prizes!
