First Book, Beat the “Summer Slide”

With the start of summer break, many students have difficulties continuing to feed their brains with education. Either it is due to their lack of accessibility to the libraries or other personal reason, many of these children will not open a book until the start of the fall semester. The effect known as  “the summer slide”, erases the months of studying done during the whole school year. First Book provides an opportunity for children from low-income families to access high quality books and over come the “summer slide.” Visit the link below to find out how to receive free books.
